Treat Yo’ Self is an ongoing BostInno series that highlights an recurring deal in the city where you can indulge without suffering financial ruin. Check back each Tuesday for a new way to pretend you’re rich – we’ll even provide the most appropriate scenario to accompany the bargains.

Who: Your new boyfriend or girlfriend, who you’re considering moving in with when your Allston lease expires at the end of the month. Desperate times and a cut throat real estate market, my friends.

What: $7.95 for a two-course brunch and a complimentary coffee or tea — with caramelized plantain empanadas, granola con leche, huevos rancheros, and chocolate chip pancakes on the menu, you’ll finally feel like you can afford a life of luxury.

When: Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. & Sundays, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Where: Masa Restaurant (439 Tremont Street). Be sure to make a reservation (617-338-8884) — things get pretty crazy when $7.95 South End brunch is involved.

Why: A seemingly innocent (and inexpensive) brunch in the picturesque South End can answer a lot of questions about a potential live-in boo. Imagine yourself in a cozy apartment on a Sunday morning, strolling down Tremont Street and grabbing a seat on the patio. Does the way this person eat the Sante Fe Style Eggs Benedict suddenly drive you insane? Or does the way he/she orders extra chorizo seem extra endearing? You have a big decision to make — so this compact brunch menu will make at least one choice easy. And if you still don’t know if making the move is right for you, turn to the cocktail menu, where you’ll find the Bloody Masa (a tequila Bloody Mary) and a temporary solution.

How: Take the T to the Arlington stop on the Green Line, ride your bike, walk as you reflect on life — just don’t accept a ride. What if things go awry? You’ll want your own escape plan. Good luck!
