After the Moto X release in early August, the launch date and specs for Google’s upcoming smartphone have tech junkies craving for the Motorola collaboration. Already being heralded as a device to be placed in the upper echelon of the smartphone realm, the Moto X sports a number of engaging features coupled to go along with its user-friendly functionality all wrapped up in over 500 different variations.

Good new for those waiting in the limbo of anticipation as the leaked photo above, courtesy of Android Authority via Android Central, details what could be the date of consumer availability for the Moto X.

The general item information depicted in the screenshot notes that the Moto X on Verizon will be stocked on August 15, and hit the retail shelves on August 29, the “street date.” Supposedly, Android Central’s tipseter “revealed that the launch of the handset was ‘pushed forward three days,” but there’s nothing to indicate as much.

All of the major cell carriers will follow suit and equip themselves with the device, with a T-Mobile-compatible version to be sold directly by Motorola. Those on AT&T’s roster will have exclusive privileges for Moto Maker until November when it will launch on all other carriers. Moto Maker is a web app that users can employ to pick from several customization options, including the colors of the back cover, front plate, and accents to personally tailored to the respective user’s tastes.

As for the rest, the kevlar backplate will be available in 18 different colors or styles and the near-stock Android UI will probably be tweaked ever so slightly by respective cell carriers. The biggest draw, from an emptying-my-piggy-bank-to-pay-my-student-loans point of view, has to be the $199 for 16GB of storage price tag. Others will enjoy all of the customizable aspects of the device.

Should the screenshot prove to be valid, it would coincide with previous rumors of a late August to early September launch though that seems pretty standard after an August 1 release event.
