The Xbox One release date is still scheduled for November in the United States but the release in eight other countries will be delayed to the chagrin of those native gamers. A new report today by Bloomberg expects Microsoft to postpone the next-gen console’s release until 2014 in order to be sure it has enough in stock to provide to larger markets. The price for the gaming platform upon its U.S. release is to be $499.

According to the article, Microsoft was anticipating a worldwide release in 21 different markets but has been reduced to 13. The unlikely countries subjected to the Xbox One’s postponement, scattered throughout Europe, are Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia and the Netherlands.

The article fails to provide reasoning as to why Microsoft may not have an adequate supply of gaming nourishment though the company has been plagued by customer relations blunders as of late. However, Microsoft points out in a blog post that technical issues specific to certain foreign markets often come with hindrances that can delay the release, including “work to localize the Xbox One dash, incorporate additional voice and languages, and build partnerships to bring apps and meaningful local content to each country.

“We understand this will be disappointing news for our fans in the impacted countries, and we are doing everything we can to bring Xbox One to you as soon as possible next year,” the Redwood, CA software giant continued.

Microsoft has taken a number of steps, though, to ensure that its loyal user base will be fully satisfied upon the console’s release having increased its graphic processing power and included a developers kit within the console to allow indie gamers to create and publish their own games.

Similarly, residents of those markets who have already placed a pre-order will receive a slight consolation for their patience. “if you have already preordered an Xbox One Day One system before today in those countries, you will also receive a pack-in game with your console when it launches.”

Those receiving their Xbox One on time will be in the Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, and New Zealand markets in November.
