Kicking off things in Cologne this year is a live stream of the EA press conference at Gamescom 2013 which you can watch online below. Electronic Arts (EA) will be spilling the latest details on a number of the games in its lineup, highlighting the first morning of the popular consumer electronics expo in Germany. The EA press conference will begin at 10 a.m. ET this morning.

Expected to be included in today’s showcase by EA are Battlefield 4, Need For Speed Rivals, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, FIFA 14, EA SPORTS UFC, Command & Conquer, the unveil of The Sims 4. Most, if not all, of these games will be made available on the usual PCs and consoles, most notably the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Sony has stolen most of the Gamescom spotlight already by announcing that it will reveal the release date for its highly anticipated PlayStation 4. But more on that later.

All of the above games are available now for pre-order, except for Command & Conquer and The Sims 4 which is now available in beta and will be released in 2014, respectively.

Microsoft already hosted a showcase that cited a list of games that will be made readily available upon the launch of its upcoming next-generation gaming console, the Xbox One. Though they have yet to disclose a specific release date for the One, Microsoft has already alluded to a November release and a price tag of $499, breaking from tradition in which rival PS4 is priced higher. However, the Xbox One will include a developers kit within the console that’ll cost PS4 users a pretty penny.
