With the release of Madden NFL 25 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 today, EA Sports will be releasing an iOS version of the popular football video game free from the App Store. According to Apple fan site Mac Rumors, the 25th anniversary of the game marks the first time any version in the storied series is free to play as well as being one of the first to run on EA Sports’s Ignite game engine.

Featuring fleet-footed Barry Sanders on the cover, Madden NFL 25 boasts a number of new features sure to arouse the diehard fan in even the most loathsome of football cynics. According to Apple’s App Store, from where users can download the game for free right this millisecond here, Madden fanatics can expect to,
