The House of Blues on Lansdowne Street will voluntarily shut down tonight after one person died and two others were taken to the hospital from apparent drug overdoses early this morning. The duration of the House of Blues closure is unclear.

The overdoses were reported to Boston police at 12:42 a.m. Authorities said an adult female was pronounced dead after being transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. One adult male and one adult female were also taken to the hospital. According to reports by the Boston Globeboth were in serious condition late this morning.

The victims did not know each other, according to Boston police.

Homicide detectives are investigating.

Zedd (a.k.a Anton Zaslavski), the european electronic DJ known for producing house music, was in concert at the House of Blues last night. After reports of the overdoses circulated, Zedd posted this message on Twitter:

Zedd’s concert started at 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Across Lansdowne Street, the Red Sox were in the midst of playing the Baltimore Orioles.
