Labor Day has come and gone, and now we must face the cold reality that it is officially back to school in Boston. 70,000 plus students have reoccupied our city, crowding our favorite bars and brunch spots, and ending the season of student-free serenity.
While many of us may be groaning about the back to school invasion, there are a few locals who may not be so bummed. Boston’s education leaders are undoubtedly celebrating the students’ return and ready to get back into the scholarly swing. Home to over 50 colleges and universities, Boston is packed with academic influencers who have liberated innovation from the campus bubble and made our city a pioneer of new thinking and new technology. We recognized five education trailblazers at BostInno’s 50 on Fire, an epic awards event honoring Boston’s best and brightest across ten industries.
