Media circuses surround the news of the latest iPhone versions, the 5C and the 5S. The former being a “tweaked” version of the already existing iPhone 5 (but hey, at least it comes in pink) and the latter, a “much faster, fully 64-bit” Apple phone, according to Time. Both will leave Apple fans satisfied (for now). Including myself, a shameless Gen Y Apple enthusiast.

It seems most Apple fans are refusing to settle. Many are holding out for the shiny “gold” beacon of hope – the 5S. But for those of us who want the 5S advantage without the shiny exterior, we’ll be searching for that perfect iPhone cover (sans bling).

And not just any iPhone cover – something classy, something Boston, something adult. Because eventually, everyone who knows you (and doesn’t know you) will see your phone. After all, “don’t judge an iPhone user by their iPhone cover”- thought no one ever.

Luckily for you, I’ve found some pretty impressive vintage Boston iPhone 5S covers featuring old maps, landmarks and even the 1912 Red Sox. It’s a marriage of old school Boston and new iPhone technology. These iPhone covers not only protect your phone in style, but will also make you look like the intelligent, interesting and tasteful person that you are (or want to be).

The covers are a tad pricey – hovering around the $50 mark – but consider this an investment in your phone and an expression of your city. Zazzle features many Boston iPhone 5S covers including the ones in the slideshow below.
