A Cape Cod beach was closed temporarily yesterday after a photo revealed a possible shark’s fin surrounded by blood about 100 yards off shore, according to an AP report.

Coast Guard Beach in Eastham closed for roughly an hour on Sunday morning after Bruce Langsen, a local resident, took a photo while on the beach with his son.

“My son said, ‘Oh my God, Oh my God,'” Langsen told the Cape Code Times. After, he reportedly looked over and took the photo.

No one was hurt, despite several surfers in the water at the time.

Park rangers and local authorities were notified.

An unnamed Cape Cod National Seashore ranger confirmed there was a shark sighting by surfers at the beach, according to the Cape Cod Times report.
