This weekend, September 21st and 22nd, Boston will showcase its biking community with multiple events.

On Saturday, Boston will host the fifth annual TD Bank Mayor’s Cup Bicycle Race, while Boloco hosts an all-day block party. The following day, the 9th annual Hub on Wheels city-wide ride will be held.

This weekend’s events are part of the Boston Cycling Celebration, honoring Mayor Tom Menino’s Boston Bikes initiative, Boston magazine reports.

Saturday’s TD Bank Mayor’s Cup race — featuring professional cyclists from around the world — will start at noon and end at 6 p.m. During this time, racers will circle City Hall Plaza, starting and finishing on Cambridge Street. A kid’s race will be held at 2:30 p.m., prior to the start of the women’s race.

Boloco will be offering live entertainment, a beer garden, and family activities throughout Saturday as a part of the burrito company’s “Block Party.”

Storrow Drive will be car-free on Sunday for the Hub on Wheels city-wide bike ride. There will be three different bike routes — 10, 30 and 50 miles — for riders to choose from. All routes will begin and end at City Hall Plaza. (Register here).

A portion of proceeds raised during the event will go to charity. Technology Goes Home will also receive a portion of the Hub on Wheels proceeds in order to continue providing technology, training and internet access to under-served Boston areas.
