Well folks, today is officially National Vodka Day. The now famous alcohol was originally used for medicinal purposes and as an ingredient in gunpowder way back in the 15th century. The alcohol became a wildly popular drink in Russia due to its hardy nature and ability to never freeze during the harsh, cold Russian winters. Cheers to that.

But where should we raise our glasses in celebration of everyone’s favorite Russian libation? We’ve listed out 10 places to celebrate National Vodka Day in Boston. Just remember to grab your “Ushanka,” or Russian fur hat (we know you have one somewhere) before hitting these bars.
