John Connolly will receive the endorsement of North End Representative Aaron Michlewitz, Boston.com reports.

The announcement of Michlewitz’s endorsement will come later this morning during a scheduled press conference at 11:15 a.m. at the Boston Center for the Arts on Tremont Street.

Connolly will then head to City Hall for a City Council meeting at noon, before a second scheduled press conference in Charlestown at 1:30 p.m., where he is expected to announce another endorsement.

Michlewitz is a North End native and Northeastern University graduate. In addition to his time in the state’s House of Representatives, Michlewitz is the President of the North End Waterfront Neighborhood Council. Previously, he served as former Speaker Salvatore DiMasi’s Constituent Services Director.

Michlewitz will reportedly be joined by Susan Passoni, who he ran against in 2009 to replace DiMasi.

Passoni is the President of the Ellis South End Neighborhood Association and is active on local school boards. She is a member of Connolly’s campaign team.

John Barros and Felix Arroyo announced their endorsements of Marty Walsh yesterday.
