Tomorrow morning when you wake up there’s a pretty good chance you plan to go to this year’s 49th Annual Head of the Charles. But have you really planned anything? The first question popping into your mind at 8 a.m. may be: Where should I watch Head of the Charles? Good question. Fortunately, we’ve got you covered with our interactive map, bridge-by-bridge guide, and now, a where to watch guide.

Be sure to stake out your spot at one these locales.

Magazine Beach: This grassy area on the banks of the Charles is located near the BU Bridge, and is perfect for those wanting to see the beginning of the race. Come early and stake out your spot because this “beach” will fill up quick.

The Bridges From Our Guide: Check out our bridge-by-bridge guide to figure out which bridge (BU, River Street, Western Ave., Weeks, Anderson and Eliot) you prefer. But, fair warning, these bridges are always swarming with spectators. But if you do manage to secure a spot on one of the bridges, you’ll be rewarded with an up close and personal viewpoint of the races. These locations are also free (huzzah).

Reunion Village: For a daily fee of $5 you can join the Village, located on the Boston side of the Charles River. It consists mostly of tailgating groups from various colleges, alumni groups or anyone else looking to join in the festivities.

The Weld Exhibition: If you’re looking to witness rowers passing the halfway point, then head to the Weld Exhibition. It’s located between the Weeks and Anderson bridges on the Cambridge side of the Charles River. This location is also where you can pick up free samples and Regatta paraphernalia.

The Eliot Bridge Enclosure: For a more expensive viewpoint head to the Eliot Bridge Enclosure, a private tent for $90 you can spend an entire day eating breakfast, lunch buffet-style and imbibing beer and wine. The Eliot Bridge is the very last bridge that the rowers cross before reaching the finish line. Must be 21 years old (sorry kids).

Christian Herter Park/Rowing and Fitness Expo: This spot by the finish line in Allston will feature food from over 70 vendors (jackpot). You can also buy plenty of merchandise, rowing gear and apparel. And to top it off, you’ll get to see the winners (and losers) cross that finish line.
