It’s no secret that those who enjoy late nights in and around Boston often get fed up with the lack of public transportation in the wee hours. Excuse us for occasionally wanting to let lose and not have to pay for a hefty cab ride home when often times we’ll be paying for it the morning after anyway, am I right? One dude at the Charles/MGH Red Line stop took it too far last week, kicking in a glass panel of a closed Red Line station and waiting for a nonexistent train.

As you’ll see, the man who MBTA police describe as ” A white male with a muscular build, wearing a green camouflage hat backward, a white V-neck tee shirt, blue jeans and brown work boots,” approached the station at 1:46 am, well past quitting time, and in frustration for either the T’s closing early or thinking that perhaps the MBTA was out to get him and closed just for him, kicked out a glass panel, and proceeded to enter the closed station and stand and wait on the empty platform.

After relieving himself on the tracks and waiting for some time for a train that would never come, he leaves. Classy.

People these days. I mean, I get as irritated with the MBTA as the next Bostonian but come on.

If you have any information on this suspect, the MBTA urge you to “contact our Criminal Investigations Unit at 617-222-1050. If you would like to assist our investigators but wish to remain anonymous you can always text us your tip to 873873 or use the anonymous feature on our SeeSay app.”
