Believe it or not folks, this is the last weekend before Halloween (insert scream). Which means there’s only a few days left to frolic through the Boston streets dressed in an outrageous costume (in a socially acceptable context). But celebrating Halloween doesn’t have to be all scary movies, ghost and goblins. This year you can celebrate the holiday by laughing in the face of danger — after midnight, of course.

Because honestly, every time I play a gory thriller or horror flick on my TV screen, the scaredy cat in me immediately regrets my decision. I guess you could say that I’m a big fan of comic relief when it comes to scary movies — especially since my death grip can only last so long as I’m sliding off the edge of my seat.

So where and how can we combine Halloween with comedy once the clock strikes midnight this weekend in Boston? This Saturday night hit up the North End’s Improv Asylum for not only a wicked hilarious Halloween show but also their popular after midnight showing of “Raunch.” In my opinion, this combo is the best of both worlds.

Here’s all you need to know. Improv Asylum will be showing their special Halloween show, “Night of the Cereal Killers,” starting tonight and going through most of the following week. This weekend the show plays at either 7:30p.m. or 10p.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights. Those who decide to attend this Saturday night will be able to stick around (no extra cost) for their “adults-only” improv show. Tickets for “Night of the Cereal Killers” Halloween show costs between $20 to $25. Buy yours in advance as the show will certainly be popular.

Or, if you want to skip the Halloween show and go straight to a late-night “Raunch” showing, you can buy a separate ticket for $15. Buy them here before the weekend sells out.
