If the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance is to be believed as of Friday evening, the John Connolly campaign has yet to receive any financial contributions during the week of Oct. 21 to Oct. 27. Meanwhile, his competitor, Marty Walsh, is having the second best week in terms of financial contributions since he entered the race.

For obvious reasons, that struck BostInno as somewhat odd.

As of Friday, Oct. 25, OCPF indicated Connolly has yet to receive any contributions this week while Walsh has received $247,953.55 in the same span. With two days left before the new week, Walsh has time to surpass his Aug. 26 to Sept. 1 total – his best in terms of contributions – of $253,295.05.

Last week – Oct. 14 to Oct. 20 – Connolly received approximately $50,000 more in contributions than Walsh – $243,180 to $193,326.25.

Despite the OCPF data, Connolly spokesperson Natasha Perez told BostInno that Connolly’s camp is currently raising at a pace of “more than the previous two weeks.”

Perez added that the Connolly campaign “feels good” about their numbers – which the OCPF website has yet to indicate. Typically, at least, such numbers are updated every few days.

Connolly’s camp raised $309,714 in contributions during the week of Oct. 7 to Oct. 13, which represents the most of any candidate during any week of the race.
