Planning on hanging in or around Fenway for the World Series this week? You might notice some over-arching differences about the neighborhood’s pedicabs. During the World Series, the fast-food chain is teaming up with Pedicab Outdoor to provide fans and pedicab customers with coupons for McDonald’s Mighty Wings.

Whether you’re avoiding the over-crowded Fenway neighborhood like the plague or jumping head-first into the action, this Mighty Wings initiative could serve as more of an incentive to stick around Fenway this week. That is, if you’re a shameless McDonald’s fan (like myself) anyway.

The McDonald’s pedicabs at Fenway will be giving away coupons for ‘buy one get one’ free 5-piece Mighty Wings to all pedicab customers during the World Series. And in case you missed it, Ronald McDonald made an appearance in Fenway last week (above) for the Pedicab Mighty Wings kick-off.

It seems everyone is trying to get into the World Series action including food trucks, beer and now even, the world’s leading fast-food chain. McDonald’s has already made the news recently with their dollar menu upgrade. According to Bloomberg Businessweek, the Mighty Wings have been on the McDonald’s menu since this past September and look like “McNuggets with bones” that “are flavored with cayenne and chili pepper” and “come with creamy ranch, honey mustard, and tangy barbecue sauces.” Hmm. I’m not completely convinced of their game-worthiness — especially since wings are fairly cheap anywhere you go.

McDonald’s chief executive, Don Thompson claimed that “there were a couple of issues” with the Mighty Wings item. The foremost being that perhaps the “wings were just too expensive,” according to Businessweek. In other words, the Mighty Wings’ prices aren’t exactly setting the food item up for success. Normally, the Mighty Wings come in several portion sizes, including a three-piece serving for $2.99 and a 10-piece serving for $8.99.

But if wings are your thing (and you’re no snob) then these World Series pedicabs will be the perfect ride through Fenway. Just check out the pictures of the pedicabs below.
