The BostInno Fall Lookbook showcases seasonal style from the city’s best fashion bloggers, who have drawn outfit inspiration from either a quintessential fall activity in New England for your weekend agenda, or from an iconic Boston neighborhood for those weekdays back in town and at work. Check in every Tuesday and Saturday for a new look, and re-seize the season in a kickass wardrobe.

Suddenly, November is right around the corner. As we’re busy doling out candy or donning our scariest, trendiest costumes in the spirit of Halloween, October sneakily slips away, turning over into its less popular follow-up month, that brings snow, less daylight, and the impending doom of winter.

But, look on the bright side. We had some awesome fall weather this month, and we still have a few days of October, and Halloween, to look forward to. Spend those last precious moments in one of Boston’s most picturesque neighborhoods, Beacon Hill, which just happened to be named one of the best trick-or-treating spots in the city.

We asked Emily Geaman of local fashion blog Shell Chic’d to sport her most suitable Beacon Hill style for the fall temps, and she delivered. You just might need to throw on a few extra layers.

Get her look:

  • Scalloped Dress: J.Crew $168
  • Double-Breasted Trench Coat: London Fog via Macy’s $200
  • Cross-Strap Flats: Kimchi Blue via Urban Outfitters $29
  • Great Point Knot Bracelet: Oh Buoy Boston via Etsy $10
  • Earrings: Pistachio via Mint Julep $29
  • Pearl Necklace: Second Time Around $16
  • Coach Clutch: Second Time Around $40

Total: $492

In her own words:

Every fall, new trends in fashion present themselves: oxblood red, over-the-knee boots, printed trousers. While I am not fully innocent of playing into some trends every season, I think my style is, more times than not, considered rather classic. And what’s the most classic neighborhood in Boston? I hope you’ll agree with me in saying Beacon Hill.

About Emily:

Emily is a Boston girl and Emerson grad who describes her personal style as the “love child of preppy and hippie.” Her blog, previously titled So Anthro, channels that aesthetic into her outfit and inspiration posts, which center around life in New England, culminating in a fashionable destination with accents of good treats, reads, and scenes around town.
