What a week we’ve had here in Boston. From Halloween and the President’s visit to the Red Sox victory and Saturday’s duck boat parade, it’s truly been a whirlwind in the Hub. And chances are that along the way you kicked back quite a few brunch buzz cocktails (especially yesterday before and/or after the victory parade). All in all it’s been a terrific week but there’s still one thing missing. And that is — a terrific brunch.

To make your week complete, The Brunch Buzz recommends hitting up North Street Grille. This cozy brunch spot offers a delicious selection of brunch foods and drinks. And the brunch is perfect for both early birds and leisurely late sleepers alike. But enough with the fluff – let’s get brunchin’.

It’s Tipsy Time — Here are the Brunch Buzz Deets

When

North Street Grille opens its doors for brunch at 8a.m. and doesn’t close until 3:30p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday — leaving you plenty of time to chow down.

Where

The brunch spot is located in Boston’s North End at 229 North Street.

What to Eat

Hands down this is the place to come for something sweet. As soon as you sit down the restaurant serves a complimentary basket of warm banana bread for the table — it’s enough to leave you drooling. And for your actual brunch, North Street Grille serves up French Toast to the extreme offering options like Banana Bourbon, Stuffed Nutella, Raspberry & Cream Cheese, Apple Cinnamon and others. If you’re not sure you want to invest a day’s worth of calories into a full serving of french toast, then I definitely recommend tasting the Nutella French Toast Sticks (above) from the appetizer menu. It’s enough to satisfy your sweet tooth and to split with your brunch buddy.

The Brunch Buzz Drink

Not going to lie — you may get a bit more than just tipsy at this brunch. That’s because North Street Grille serves up one of the best ice-cold bloody mary’s in Boston and it’s not to be missed. The combination of a house-made bloody mary mix, celery and a citrusy twist, makes this North End bloody mary stand out from the rest. Not to mention it’s served in a really tall glass — the more the merrier. You really can’t go wrong at North Street Grille.
