Calling all TV junkies: a new trend is emerging that will bring both booze lovers and TV fans together in perfect harmony. And if your ideal week night involves watching your favorite TV show whilst sipping a glass of vino or beer, then you’re in for some good news. You can now drink a glass of alcohol branded after the show you’re watching — the perfect excuse to indulge in your (shameless) after-work ritual.

Even the popular British TV show, Downton Abbey, seems to be jumping onboard the recent bandwagon of television themed alcohol offerings. Next week, a Downton Abbey Collection of wines is set to debut. The new wine collection plays off of the hit PBS drama depicting the complicated lives of British aristocrats in the early 20th century (usually with a glass of wine in their hand).

And, according to MarketWatch, “the wine of choice for the privileged Englishman is Bourdeaux… So, naturally, the first two wines in the Downton Abbey collection are both from Bordeaux.” Sounds like a winner to me. As a fan of the show, myself, I plan to watch the new season with a glass of Downton Abbey vino in my hand.

But for those not totally invested in a bunch of rich brits, there’s another popular TV themed alcohol that may better fit your viewing needs. Brewery Ommegang debuted a Game of Thrones inspired beer this year and recently announced that a third beer will be released in spring 2014.

The Game of Thrones inspired beer includes both Throne Blonde Ale and Take the Black Stout. According to a press release, the brewery is now set to debut a new beer in 2014 to join the series collection. The newest addition will be called Fire and Blood Red Ale.

So what’s next for TV happy hour? Will brewers, winemakers and distillers turn shows like Homeland, Mad Men and Scandal into a perfectly packaged bottle of alcohol? I guess we’ll have to wait and see whether these shows are worth imbibing.
