Imagine one big bowl filled to the brim with colorful fall vegetables and lightly drizzled soy sauce, all tossed with an autumn flavored Pumpkin Tahini. No, I didn’t just randomly throw together a hodge podge of all of your favorite foods this season. I simply described this week’s Fall Dish of the Week from Beat Hôtel: the Earth Bowl.

The fancy assortment of all things fall isn’t the only great thing about Beat Hôtel. Both times I’ve visited the recently opened Harvard Square restaurant, I’ve kicked back a delicious cocktail (or two), enjoyed the eclectic ambience and eaten very delicious food. Neither of my visits has left me disappointed or hungry.

But if you haven’t had the pleasure of tasting the decadent fall Earth Bowl, then get to it. This dish is filled with Bok Choy, Roasted Seasonal Veggies, Wild Mushrooms, Millet, Brown Rice, Quinoa & Basmati Rice tossed in Pumpkin Tahini and a Spicy Soy Sauce. You then have the choice of whether to go vegan with tofu and tempeh toppings, or to add salmon, shrimp, skirt steak or chicken. Dig in, my friends.

While you eat, you can also enjoy Beat Hôtel’s live music any day of the week. I myself enjoyed jazz and blues music both times I ate in the restaurant. And if you love wine and/or cocktails then this is your spot. The bar boast a state-of-the-art tap wine system featuring wines by the glass, all available in 2.5 oz, 5oz, or 12oz pours. The creative and colorful hand-crafted cocktails, such as the “Purple Door” and the “Electric Sidecar,” also add to the overall bohemian feel.

And thanks to the warm and cozy atmosphere, you’ll hardly notice the large size of the restaurant. Every artsy detail inside is as interesting and flavorful as its menu. So if you’re looking for an intimate, sophisticated place to wine and dine this fall, then no look further than Beat Hôtel — just make sure to try that Earth Bowl.
