Attention ladies: It’s time to bid farewell to the happy-go-lucky social days of summer and fall. The days of outdoor kickball, flea markets and apple-picking are coming to an end. With cold weather sweeping in, you’ll soon be less inclined to hang outside in the frigid temps, which means you’ll need to find ways to meet new people inside. After all, in the winter most of your energy seems to go towards covering up your body to avoid frostbite and less time spent on getting dolled up. Uggs = not hot.

But that’s okay. Because winter also offers a silver lining for your love life: the perfect excuse to take your outdoor socializing indoors, which could potentially result in a deeper, more intimate connection. So what are the best places this season to meet men employed, non-douchebag, just plain nice men in Boston? We decided to ask some Boston gals for their tried-and-true manhunt recommendations. Here’s what they had to say:

Boston Sail Loft

“Sail Loft, or as my guy friends call it… ‘The Tail Loft.’”

Warehouse

“I know it’s new, but a few weekends ago, Saturday night it was all men.”

Society on High

“An after-work scene button down crowd, also all men.”

Beacon Hill Pub

“I continue to stand strongly behind Beacon Hill Pub. There are a TON of fratty boys there, but there are some men in the mix.”

West End Johnnies

“Saturday night is country night downstairs, club upstairs ..something for everyone and an unusually high percentage of tall guys.”

Lincoln in Southie and Dillon’s on Boylston

“Weekends I’d be at Lincoln in Southie or Dillons on Boylston… Both places you’ll still get the young fratty guy, but not quite as young/immature/fratty as those you’d find somewhere like Stats in Southie.”

Logan Airport

“Whether you’re in a bar, waiting gates or in the air — you’ll always meet at least one guy with an interesting story. People are usually alone and in small groups, and there’s a lot of ways to start a conversation.”

Trident Booksellers & Cafe

“Weekends during brunch time. I’ve always been alone working, with other people also alone, working… but at least the guys there are getting things done who share a mutual love for eggs & avocado on toast.”

Financial District Bars

“Anywhere in the financial district on a Thursday night is a great place to pick up the professional guy looking like a stud in a suit.”

The Liberty Hotel

“Great spot for a few delish cocktails and men dressed up for a weekend night. And a great excuse to put on that fabulous dress in your closet and heels for a night out.”

And if “bros” are still more your type then head to…

Coogans

“If you are cool getting $1 bud light spilled all over you, Coogans is filled with bros on a Thursday night.”
