It’s just one of those mornings where you’re craving your usual Sunday brunch but you don’t want to get out of bed. We hear ya. It’s cold outside and fighting for a table (any table) while being forced to talk over a mass of people who are way too loud (especially for the morning), is sounding less and less appealing. But no worries — you can still have your cozy brunch and eat it too at the Regal Beagle in Coolidge Corner.

This brunch spot is far and away one of my favorites in Brookline. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table and genuinely enjoy the cozy, intimate setting. The restaurant is certainly chic and dapper-like, yet remains low key and comfortable. And who could forget their really intricate, really red wallpaper from top to bottom? It certainly makes a statement. But enough about the ambience, this neighborhood bistro also serves up a very delicious brunch (as well as cocktails). So let’s dig right in…

It’s Tipsy Time — Here are the Brunch Buzz Deets

When

Keep on sleepin’, this brunch spot won’t open until 11a.m. and serves brunch until 3p.m.

Where

The Coolidge Corner neighborhood bistro is located at 308 Harvard Street in Brookline. It’s only a couple of blocks from the Coolidge Corner Green Line T stop and across the street from the likes of Panera and Zaftigs.

What to Eat

Everything! No really, It’s hard to choose the best dish on the brunch menu at Regal Beagle. But if I had to choose, I’d go with either their Pancetta & Brussels Sprout Hash or the Brioche French Toast — depending on whether you’re craving something sweet versus something savory.

The Pancetta & Brussels Sprout Hash was surprisingly good (in my opinion). The dish is served with sweet potatoes and two eggs, making it the perfect savory brunch treat. The Brioche French Toast also perfectly hit the spot with its maple syrup and Bananas Foster — yum.

The Brunch Buzz Drink

As for the best part of the brunch, The Regal Beagle offers a host of buzzworthy brunch cocktails. The specialty drinks include two different kinds of Bloody Marys, a Seasonal Bellini and a few fruity drink options. If you’re sticking to the classics, I recommend The Caliente Mary, which features House-made chipotle pepper infused tequila, a “secret” bloody mary mix all garnished with a lime and cucumber. It’s certainly enough to kick you awake.

If you’re going with a not-so-classic brunch drink, I recommend The Beaglejuice drink featuring Grey Goose La Poire vodka with pineapple and cranberry. Both of these drinks will accompany your brunch food options very well. Now that we’ve got your plans set — all you have to do is throw back those covers and get brunchin’.
