Former Gossip Girl star Blake Lively recently announced that she will be launching her own lifestyle website. “The main element of it is that it’s about storytelling and it’s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that,” explained Lively. “I have so many passions outside of acting and things that I grew up being good at that I don’t utilize when acting.” Makes sense.

Not only is Lively one of the few celebrities who doesn’t use a stylist for red-carpet appearances (go-to designers include Marchesa and Pierre Balmain), she also loves to bake (Sprinkles Cupcakes collaborated with her to create the S’more Cupcake by Blake Lively), cooks like a pro (even whipping up a meal at New York’s 3-star Michelin restaurant Per Se), and decorates (she’s currently re-doing her Bedford, NY, home). So how does Mrs. Ryan Reynolds stack up against the new breed of celebrity lifestyle gurus, like Goop‘s Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Alba of The Honest Life? Let’s take a look.

GWYNETH PALTROW
Best Known For: Winning an Oscar at 26 for Shakespeare in Love, and just being Gwyneth Paltrow
Celebrity Friends Who Inspire Her: Stella McCartney, Beyoncé, Mario Batali
Lifestyle Brand Lowdown: Fancy and super-healthy recipes such as Beet Carpaccio with Marinated Bean Salad, Gwyneth Paltrow–approved cleanses, and an exclusive Stella McCartney capsule collection

JESSICA ALBA
Best Known For: Movies such as Fantastic Four and Sin City, and bouncing back into bikini-ready shape after having two kids
Celebrity Friends Who Inspire Her: Nicole Richie, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez
Lifestyle Brand Lowdown: Family-friendly, healthy recipes like Green With Envy homemade “Fudgesicles” and nontoxic and organic products such as jojoba body oil, tangerine bubble bath, and sunflower healing balm

BLAKE LIVELY
Best Known For: Playing Upper East Sider Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl
Celebrity Friends Who Inspire Her: Christian Louboutin, Martha Stewart, Florence Henderson
Lifestyle Brand Lowdown: All signs suggest that Lively will give us permission to indulge (yay!). Case in point: She swears her secret to staying in shape is daily chocolate (hot cocoa at breakfast and dark chocolate at night), she showed Vogue readers how to make a decadent sausage and brie puff pastry topped with bourbon maple syrup, and she hates working out.

Now that’s a lifestyle I can get behind.
