After you spend your Thanksgiving over-indulging in an entire plateful of mashed potatoes, turkey and gravy, chances are you’re pretty stuffed. But what if you could burn the calories off before you even begin to feast your heart out? The 26th Annual Feaster Five

Andover, MA

The best part about this Turkey Trot race is the fact that all runners and walkers who actually finish the 5k will receive an apple pie at the end. Need I say more? You’re sure to have a great time while trotting in this race. The race takes place on November 28th. The Kid’s Fun Run is at 7:45 a.m., and the 5 Mile/5K begins at 8:30 a.m. You can register here.

Boston Volvo Village 5K Road Race

Brighton, MA

With this race you’ll be running for a really awesome cause. Wake up Thanksgiving morning and give back to the Greater New England chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. And not only that but you’ll lose quite a few calories along the way. You can still register online through next Tuesday, November 26th. The race takes place November 28th. Registration is 7:30 a.m. and starts at 9:00 a.m.

Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run

Salem, MA

Run for a cause this Thanksgiving morning at the that will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Salem. And according to the website, the race was also named the Best Holiday Race by North Shore Road Race Guide last year – so you know it’s a good one. The race takes place on November 28th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and you can still register on race for $25. Details here.

2nd Annual Family Gratitude – 5K Turkey Trot

Dedham, MA

Proceeds from this family-oriented race will benefit the Dedham Food Pantry and the Dedham Youth Commission’s College Bound Program. The race takes place on Thanksgiving day, November 28th at 8:30 a.m. Registration is still open and won’t close until Monday, November 25th. Register here.

2013 Plymouth Turkey Trot Run and Walk

Plymouth, MA

There’s no better place to run on Thanksgiving morning than in America’s first hometown of Plymouth. Join the race at 7:45 a.m. at Pilgrim Memorial State Park. Registration is still open and you can sign up here.
