For those of you who haven’t yet discovered the salad bliss that is Sweetgreen – you are missing out on a whole bowl of flavor. Truly my favorite salad joint of all time (no exaggeration), the farm-to-table Washington, DC-based chain opened a location in Back Bay this past summer. And it looks as though there may be a second Boston location in the works.

Boston Restaurant Talk reported that a Sweetgreen joint could be opening in the oh-so-popular Fort Point Neighborhood. And according to Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog, the location could be “the ground floor of the recently-opened Marriott Residence Inn at 370 Congress Street.”

The Boston Restaurant Talk blog also pointed to a Fort Point Channel Landmark District Commission Public Hearing regarding applications for design approval. The hearing from the City of Boston shows there will be a design approval review for Sweetgreen Boston to install signage and canopies as well as louvers in window openings. Sounds just lovely.

For those unfamiliar with Sweetgreen, the salad joint has branches in DC, MD, VA, NY, PA, and of course, MA. The salad chain’s seasonal menu changes based on ingredient availability offering up salads with fresh, organic ingredients, soups, wraps and even, tart frozen yogurt.

And while everything served at Sweetgreen is (in my opinion) delicious, the salad dressings truly make the spot unique. Without a doubt, my favorite part of the Sweetgreen experience, the menu includes tasty dressings such as cucumber basil yogurt, lemon tahini and lime cilantro jalapeno, among others.

This salad spot is certainly not to be missed, and we can only hope that the Fort Point location becomes a reality sooner rather than later.
