With a blizzard looming, we hope you’re preparing to hunker down for the weekend. While stocking up on eggs, milk and bread is a must – it’s equally important (well, almost as important) to stock the bar as well. Especially if you’re planning to have friends over to help ward off cabin fever (we hope).

And in my opinion, a foot of snow on your doorstep certainly warrants at least one libation at home – might as well treat yourself. Which is why we recommend imbibing on a cocktail that will warm you up from the inside out – a Manhattan with a twist. Here’s where to find it in town – and how to stir it up right at home.

Buy It:

If you feel like heading out in the snow, we recommend trudging your way to the Tip Tap Room in Beacon Hill. The bar serves up a delicious Maple Walnut Ginger Manhattan with a slightly sweet and spicy taste – perfect for winter time. The Manhattan features Maple Liqueur and whiskey – both of which are sure to warm you right up.

Make It:

But let’s face it – most of you (myself included) don’t plan on leaving the comforts of your own home during a snowstorm – especially after tonight. Fortunately, we have the recipe for this delicious Maple Walnut Ginger Manhattan – created by the Tip Tap Room’s bar manager, Nick Giannotti. Let us know how it turns it out for you in the comments below!
