With Winter Storm Hercules pummeling our city the last couple of days, it was all too easy to forget that this week also marked the beginning of a new year. One thing’s for sure – 2014 certainly started off on an interesting foot. But now that the stormed has passed and the snow has fallen, it’s time to start shoveling and get moving, once again.

And there’s no better way to ring in the freezing-cold first week of 2014 than with a free cup of warm coffee and a lot of caffeine. Fortunately for us, McDonalds will be giving away free McCafe coffee until Tuesday, January 7. According to a press release, the free coffee will be offered both in the morning and throughout the entire day.

Nicole DiNoia, Communications Manager for McDonald’s Boston Region stated that the free coffee offering was “No strings attached.” The fast-food chain simply wanted Boston residents to “ just come in and enjoy a free small McCafé coffee at one of our participating restaurants in Eastern New England.”
