With Snowstorm Hercules knocking down our door last week, it’s safe to say that winter is officially here for the long haul. Unfortunately, we can’t beat the cold weather this month – but we can try to make the most of it by celebrating the immaculate ski slope conditions.

And in honor of the current picture-perfect slopes, Ski Vermont and Long Trail Brewing Company are teaming up to host a special Ski Bash Boston party this Friday, January 10. The celebration will feature the very special and rarely seen, Shed Burger (pictured above).

For those who don’t know (hey, not all of us ski), this is the only time all year that the celebrated Shed Burger is served to the public. The burger was once sold at the iconic watering hole, The Shed, in Stowe, Vermont. Now closed, the restaurant was described by locals as the “the soul and spirit of the ski community.”

But though it’s gone, The Shed’s roots live on through skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts in the area – and of course, through the continuation of its exclusive Shed Burger.

The succulent Shed Ale-Marinated burger features creamy melted Vermont Cheddar, served on a toasted english muffin (wowwy). Before you start drooling, also know that Ski Bash Boston will feature a “tap takeover” of Long Trail Brewing Company’s specialty craft brews, including: new Limbo IPA, Long Trail ALE, Long Trail Hibernator, Shed MT Ale, Long Trail IPA.

Those who join the Ski Bash can also enter to win prizes such as a Long Trail snowboard, Ski & Stay Package at Killington – making your trip to The Harp worth the snow plowing effort.

Ski Bash Boston will start at 9 p.m. and lasts until 2 a.m. Get your ticket here – and let us know if that Shed Burger hits the spot.
