It’s been a busy week for newly anointed Mayor of Boston Marty Walsh. The successor to longtime City Hall occupant Tom Menino, Walsh has spent a substantial fraction of his time just prior to and after his inauguration ceremony appointing fresh-faced cabinet members to help write a new chapter in the history of the city.

To date, Mayor Walsh has named 12 different people to municipal positions, two of which are to the Boston School Committee and four of which are merely on an interim basis. He’s zeroed in on two very viable and capable replacements for the massive vacancies left by former Police and Fire Commissioners Ed Davis and Roderick Fraser and is in the processes of narrowing down a nationwide search for superintendent of Boston Public Schools.

He’s tapped personnel to help him foster a relationship with a new generation of Bostonians, assigned some of his most trusted advisors to positions he knows they will provide leadership for, and brought on those who are likely to help him balance his prospective policies politically.

So to help you get familiar with Boston’s new regime and the individuals of which it’s comprised, here are snapshots of those newly at the helm of The Hub.
