Guys. Lena Dunham is your newest Vogue cover girl. Well, reportedly. According to Page Six, the Girls creator will grace the cover of the esteemed fashion magazine’s February issue. And it makes sense. I mean, she’s a popular actress, respected writer, and most importantly, will no doubt draw in a number of young readers to Vogue’s typically more mature audience. So why exactly is this news?

You guessed it – her size. Although it pains me to say it, Lena doesn’t exactly conform to the body type that Vogue normally features. Think about it. You can literally count the number of curvy women on Vogue covers on one hand. Adele. Kate Winslet. That’s it. That’s all I’ve got. (And, yes, I know calling Kate Winslet “curvy” is a stretch.)

So what gives? Does Lena Dunham’s alleged cover signify a change in tides over at Vogue? Will Anna guest star on this season of Girls? Are we all just completely overanalyzing this? One thing is for sure – with Anna’s attendance at the Girls season three premiere in New York yesterday, it’s pretty much guaranteed that this cover is going to happen. And I, for one, can’t wait.
