It’s just over three months until the 2014 Boston Marathon and Adidas, the event’s official and exclusive footwear and apparel supplier, has unveiled the race’s formal swag. The athletic equipment retailer has noted on its website that a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to The One Fund Boston, the organization devoted to aiding the victims of the tragic Boston Marathon bombings.

What Adidas is dubbing “the 2014 Official Boston Marathon apparel collection” includes a men’s and women’s version of the jacket worn by race officials, volunteers, media and triumphant finish line crossers. They will be available for purchase between April 18-20 (the race kicks off on Patriot’s Day, April 21) and cost $110 at select retailers and the John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo.

The jacket comes in the vibrant Solar Zest color, a lively orange that, while not the traditional Marathon yellow, pairs just as eye-pleasingly with the contrasting blue stripes across the shoulders and back.

The entire collection also features tights, shorts, tees, tanks and pullovers of the same colorful combination.

According to Adidas, the jacket is outfitted with the following:

  • An adjustable drawcord hem
  • Side zip pockets
  • Stand-up collar with an anti-chafing lockdown zipper
  • Raglan sleeves for a full range of movement
  • Lining for maximum ventilation and moisture management
  • Embroidered Boston Marathon logos on the back and left chest
  • “Boston Runs as One” logo on the back collar as a tribute to 2013’s race

Continues Adidas, “Approximately 36,000 runners, the largest number of participants in almost two decades and a 9,000 increase from last year, are registered to climb Heartbreak Hill on April 21.”
