“Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy (and so is ice cream)” – Ben Franklin

Okay, Ben Franklin didn’t really say that “ice cream bit” but he would have if he had heard today’s news. Because today in ‘too good to be true’ (but is), Yuengling – America’s oldest brewery – is preparing to pump out 100,000 quarts of ice cream. The company’s ice cream will be returning to shelves for the first time in nearly 30 years.

According to a release, the “first batches of Yuengling’s Ice Cream are coming off the production line” and expected to hit grocery stores by mid-February.

Originally, the ice cream was supposed to debut in March, but today the company president, David Yuengling, announced that they pushed up production because of the enthusiastic response from Yuengling fans.

And according to a release, Rob Bohorad, chief operating officer, explained that Yuengling “bumped up production to accommodate” independent grocery store demand. He stated,“But we fully anticipate being in more grocery stores later this year.” Lots to look forward to.

And the return of Yuengling Ice Cream brings 10 amazing flavors. Prepare to drool, folks. You can expect to see (and taste) Vanilla, Espresso Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Marshmallow, Black and Tan, Root Beer Float, Mint Chocolate Chip, Vanilla Fudge Chunk with Pretzels. So good.

The ice cream will be sold at Acme, Weis and select independent grocery stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and West Virginia. Also, a searchable store locator will be available on its website later this month.

So, get to it!
