Tonight President Obama will give the 2014 State of the Union address. But unfortunately, finding a bar in Boston that plans to play tonight’s speech could be a little tricky. That’s not to say that if you nicely asked your bartender to change the TV station, he wouldn’t do it – especially if there’s a drinking game involved.

Today, the Huffington Post published ideas for your 2014 State of the Union drinking game, instructing viewers to take a sip every time “Obama says, ‘The state of the union is strong.’” And to pound a shot if “Obama says, ‘The state of the union… I mean, I’ve seen worse.’” – And there’s many more sipping, pounding and finishing the bottle instructions to be found here.

But if you’re looking for a bar where the speech will be on the TV, there is, according to @BostonTweet, a State of the Union Watch Party happening tonight at Boston Beer Works on Canal Street. Beginning at 8 p.m., the Greater Boston Young Democrats and Drinking Liberally are coming together to host a viewing party for the public.

According to the Facebook invite, the viewing party will be upstairs “in a room on the second floor.” Boston Beer Works will also be playing Governor Deval Patrick’s final State of the Commonwealth address at 7:30 p.m. tonight as well.

Other suggestions via Universal Hub comments and Tweets from Bostonians, recommend other bars such as: Doyle’s Cafe in Jamaica Plain and Cornwall’s Pub in Kenmore Square. Although we’re sure there are plenty of others. Let us know where you’ll be watching the President’s State of the Union address tonight.
