Winter Storm Nika is pummeling Boston as we speak. But, believe it or not, this has turned out to be a positive for the MBTA. This morning the T has received widespread praise from commuters – even if it’s just because the snow has forced many to remain indoors.
People have been giving shout-outs to the City’s public transit authority that range anywhere from comfortable seating space, timely service, particularly friendly drivers, to general appreciation for staying open during the storm.
Obviously, some have complained. But, given the the majority of positive MBTA related tweets, let’s tip our caps and give credit where credit is due.
People Love the T Today…

First @MBTA commute to work in almost five years. (It was school back then.) Wasn’t worth trying it in the car today. #snow #boston

The #BLine driver on 3863B 2nd car is a true gem and a kind soul, even on a morning as stressful as this. Thought you should know, @MBTA

I was pleasantly surprised by my entire @mbta ride – Bus/Green/Red. The bus was only 10 minutes late which is better than norm #mbta #bosnow

As frustrating at the #MBTA is, you have to appreciate when everything runs flawlessly on a day like today. No #greenlinewoes this morning!
