While riding the MBTA this morning on your usual, ho-hum commute with your cup of coffee, Metro newspaper in-hand – you may missed one very quirky detail.

This:

Dariana, a 20-something single living in Boston, placed herself in this Ľ page ad in Metro newspaper today, hoping to find love. A source tell us that Dariana was looking to expand “her search beyond meeting men in bars, online or through the latest dating app.”

One of her friends, an employee at visual discovery platform Blippar, offered to make the ad more interactive with the use of their app. By downloading Blippar on your phone and holding the phone over the personal Valentine’s Day ad, you can access more information about the Boston single.

If you pass the compatibility quiz on the app, you’ll then be given the romantic’s email so that you can ask her on a real date. Tada!

And while the ad is certainly – unique (some might say a bit desperate?) – who could blame her for wanting to find love in a city that isn’t always the easiest place to meet people.

I suppose drastic times call for drastic measures when it comes to being desperately single on Valentine’s Day. What do you think? Is this a crazy way to look for love in Boston? Let us know in the comments below!

BostInno reached out to Dariana for comment and will update the story when we hear back.
