Wait. What?

Yep. The snow flurries that blew through the city this morning have given way to cloudy, windy conditions.

Gusty winds and variable cloud coverage are expected to linger for the next 24 hours, before a new batch of snow heads Boston’s way Saturday, around noon.

Snowfall tomorrow afternoon isn’t expected to accumulate too much, only about one-inch. However, the afternoon dusting will lay the groundwork for 2 to 4 more inches expected tomorrow evening.

Weather.com reports, Boston can expect it to snow tomorrow between 12 p.m. and 11 p.m. Snow will likely come to an end overnight, as gusty winds and partly cloudy skies move in for Sunday.

Saturday’s temps will hover in the mid-20s and lower-30s.

Note: Right now, the storm doesn’t seem particularly hard-hitting. However, should the storm’s offshore track inch closer to the coast, heavier snow and higher wind gusts could occur. Northern New England is expected to get the brunt of this next batch of winter.

Again, it’s still early. Most are probably still trying to figure out how to walk to the nearby T stop without slipping on the ice, or stepping in a puddle of disgusting city liquid. There are also Valentine’s Day activities to consider.

Fortunately, the snow shouldn’t impact any of this evening’s romance. Just wear your best winter formals and brace for some wind gusts. Have a couple drinks. Wake up early tomorrow. Slug.
