Remember that easy, microwavable treat you probably fixed yourself as a kid – or maybe even late last Saturday night? Well, it looks like it’s time to put the Hot Pockets down (for good).

Time is reporting that some of the meat used in the Hot Pockets “could have come from ‘diseased and unsound animals.’” Sick! The USDA released confirmation about the “unwholesome meat products” that could have been used in the flakey and meat-filled treats.

Apparently, the “products’ meat had not undergone proper inspection,” as noted in Time. A.V. Club also reports that Hot Pockets are being voluntarily pulled off the shelves over these said concerns. So don’t bother looking for them next time you pay a trip to your local Shaws.

The good news is that it will only affect “Hot Pockets Philly Steak & Cheese varieties,” according to A.V. Club. Still, I can’t say this puts me in the mood to consume any other type or variety of Hot Pocket – ew, no thanks. After all, the ad (above) might say “made with real cheese” but it sure doesn’t mention real meat. Just sayin’.
