House of Cards season 2 is officially upon us, and already, this installment of the Netflix series has left me with a lot of questions. The first of which being, what’s going on in the wardrobe department?

You see, I tune in as much for Claire Underwood’s high-powered political style (which is usually as crisp as the character’s bone-chilling personality) as I do for the plot twists and backstabbing. But lately, something’s been different about the cast’s look – not bad, per se, but definitely different.

As it turns out, Tom Broecker, the show’s original costume designer (who was nominated for a Costume Designers Guild Award), has moved on from the hit series. Talk about shocking. Now, while we may never know exactly why he left, we do know this: the show must go on – and I, for one, am excited to see just how well the  incumbent designer fills his shoes.
