In early February we reported that Bantam Cider, a local craft cider company, was planning to open a tap room in Somerville sometime in March. The Boston Globe described the tap room as an “industrial space with a comfortable feel…views of fermentation tanks and racks of barrels.”

Boston Restaurant Talk pointed out today that Bantam Cider tap room’s event page “indicates that the grand opening for its tap room will be this Saturday.” Bantam Cider also posted a Facebook page inviting Bostonians to come party with them.

Unfortunately, it looks as though tickets to Bantam Cider Tap Room’s grand opening party this Saturday, March 8 are already sold out (that was quick!). But the good news is that soon any and everyone will be able to enjoy tours and pours from Union Square’s first-ever tap room dedicated solely to hard cider

The Boston Globe reported that the Somerville tap room “will showcase eight taps dedicated to oak aged, smoked, sour, and other experimental ciders.”

We’ll keep you updated with any additional opening information. For a look at Bantam’s current offerings, check out the slideshow below!
