We’ve all found ourselves nodding off at our desks during those long days throughout even longer weeks. Or maybe your’e exhausted from riding the MBTA’s inaugural late night T and bus service last night. Sometimes, though, that black cup of coffee with two shots of espresso just doesn’t cut it. So what do you do? Check out Google Naps to find some of the best places in The Hub where you can get some shut eye .

The site, of course, is a parody of the search engine giant’s oft-used navigation tool Google Maps. But that doesn’t mean there’s no value in it. Like, did you know that on Spectacle Island in Boston Harbor, there’s a bench in a gazebo (actually dedicated to Krystle Campbell who tragically died in the Boston Marathon bombings) perfect for catching a “cool breeze on a hot day?”

Or that there’s another bench in The Fens that one Bostonian considers “Secluded and peaceful. Plenty of rabbits and squirrels to keep you company?”

Just check out the map below:

As I mentioned before, the site is a spoof but the creators didn’t build it just to yank Google’s chain. According to the Huffington Post, they wrote this letter to Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page:

Dear Sergey & Larry (and other Googlers)

Hello, please don’t be mad this is just a joke, a parody. We don’t mean to damage your brand or anything, we just want to bring a smile on the faces of Google fans. So please don’t take this to court, we only have a few hundred Euros in the bank. And we also don’t want to go to jail because we’re too busy with other things at the moment. But whenever you are in the Netherlands you can have a nap on our couch if you want, just e-mail us: kakhiel@gmail.com. We can also make coffee and bake eggs if you like that (for a small price).

Kakhiel & Venour

Google even appears optimistic for the site, responding to the Huffington Post’s request for a comment saying, “As longtime supporters of napping, we’re thrilled to see Google technology connecting the world’s sleepiest citizens with places to catch some zzz’s.”
