There’s nothing quite as sweet as Sweetgreen opening in Fort Point this Wednesday. The popular D.C. based salad chain will have a soft opening in Fort Point this Wednesday with a special “Pay What You Want” deal from 11 a.m. to 4p.m. All proceeds will benefit Mass Farmers Markets.

And on Thursday, April 3, Sweetgreen will officially open with normal hours from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. It’s time to get your one stop, organic farm-to-table salad shop on this week – especially if you live and work within walking distance of the new location. Those across the Fort Point Channel can get their salads to-go at 372 Congress Street location.

Jonathan Neman, co-founder of Sweetgreen, stated in a release, “The innovation and vitality of start-ups in the Fort Point neighborhood inspire us and embody what sweetgreen’s all about. We can’t wait to offer our wholesome menu – including grains, rice, and seasonal soups, in addition to our locally sourced salads – to this mix of entrepreneurs, gallery-goers, families, and students in Fort Point.”

Those who haven’t yet experienced Sweetgreen’s fresh ingredients, tasty salad dressings and frozen yogurt  – don’t know what they’re missing. As a former D.C. resident and Sweetgreen junkie, I can attest that the salad shop is pretty addicting.
