Back in January, BostInno wrote about how one locally-based crowdfunding campaign won the hearts of Kickstarter by waxing philosophical on T-shirts. Good Question Ink, who smashed their Kickstarter goal by tens of thousands of dollars, is now putting their clothing chops to good use, aiming to raise money for the Boston Marathon by exemplifying Boston’s soul.

Good Question Ink’s latest initiative is using T-Shirts and tank tops to ask, “Does Your City Have Sole?” The question, of course, is a reference to those who pound the pavement for 26.2 miles from Hopkinton down Boylston Street who need both souls in the profound sense and, well, souls.

They’re selling their garb for $25 per shirt, the proceeds of which will go directly to your charity of choice out of three options – The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, The One Fund Boston and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. For every shirt sold, notes Good Question on its site, $12 goes to the organizations. The other $15 is split up between shipping costs ($3) and for Good Question Ink.

For those looking to drop a few worthy bucks on a great cause, here’s a useful tip: Enter the promo code BOSTON2014 at checkout and you’ll be awarded with free shipping. It’s also at checkout that you’ll be able to designate your charitable organization of choice.

“We want to honor that, as well as the 2014 Boston Marathon, with a shirt representing this iconic event, which will forever represent the SOUL of Boston,” writes Good Question Ink on its site. “Over 36,000 people from around the world will be running the Boston Marathon this April to show their SOUL by running 26.2 miles on their SOLES. Help support our city and the runners with one of these shirts!”
