Springtime food truck hopping season is finally here!

You can breathe a sigh of relief because this isn’t an April Fools’ joke. Boston Food trucks are (we promise) officially back on the streets of Boston starting today, April 1. A City of Boston press release confirmed that this also marks the start of late-night food truck hours.

Although a few of Boston’s food trucks did stay open year-round, today is the first day “of food trucks appearing en masse at sites across the entire city,” according to the release.

As many of you know, Mayor Walsh recently announced that food trucks in Copley Square, Boston University and Northeastern University areas will be allowed to stay open until “late-night” (midnight) on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

In the release, Mayor Walsh states that “Food trucks are an innovative small-business model for many in Boston, and we will continue to engage the public and expand the program to other locations around the City.” Couldn’t agree more with that.

There will also be several new food truck vendors to grace the streets of Boston including: Chicken and Rice Guys #3, Evan’s NY-Style Deli, Lilian’s Smokin’ Rack BBQ, Mediterranean Home Cooking, Moyzilla, Stoked Pizza Company, Tea Station, Tenoch Mexican, The Bacon Truck, and Zo on the Go.

We recommend heading to the Rose Kennedy Greenway to check out the fifth season of Mobile Eats today. Get outside and get excited because your lunch, dinner and snack options just got a whole lot better.
