On Friday, Hubway continued its spree of activating stations for the season after a long hibernation this winter. Opening officially on April 1, Hubway announced that they’d be rolling out system-wide operations in Boston, Brookline and Somerville within the coming weeks.

Hubway made good on its promise on Friday, opening up stations at Danehy Park in North Cambridge and along Day Boulevard in South Boston.

According to the bike-share’s blog, the Danehy Park station boasts 17 docks and is located “on a parking lot across from 100 Sherman Street in Cambridge.” Similarly, the Day Boulevard station is comprised of 19 docks and can be found “on a wide sidewalk alongside Day Boulevard, just north of the rotary intersection with Broadway.”

On Thursday, Hubway opened up another 19-dock station in Cambridgeport adjacent to Dana Park. Just one day prior, they launched a 15 dock station in Jamaica Plain, though its current location at the confluence of Centre Street and Myrtle Street, in front of the post office, is not permanent. Because this is JP’s inaugural Hubway station, a community meeting later this spring will determine where the bike-share program can set up shop for good.

If you take a look at the map above, you’ll notice both green and yellow pins designating Hubway locations. The green represents stations now in service while the yellow zeros in on new ones. Pins without colors exemplify prospective sites.

Hubway is planning to open a bevy of new stations throughout Boston, Cambridge, Somerville and Brookline alike. Stay tuned to BostInno for the latest news about Hubway openings and developments.
