The morning commute can be a real pain sometimes with delays, traffic and unpredictable weather in Boston. But at least it’s an affliction that can be shared with people from around the world.

The global architecture, planning and design firm NBBJ decided that their workers located in 10 major cities Beijing, Boston, Columbus, London, Los Angeles, New York, Pune, San Francisco, Seattle, and Shanghai around the world may feel disconnected at times but there is one thing that they share in common: their morning commute to work.

On April 4, 2014 NBBJ employees across their networks were asked to film a glimpse of their morning travels, creating a crowdsourced video that shows how people from their ten global cities start their days.

Over 100 clips were submitted and stitched together to create a short video that depicts the similarity of morning commutes from around the world. Even though these clips only depict what one company sees every morning, it allows for a brief look into the different things that people see on their daily route to work, whether riding a Hubway bike on the Esplanade in Boston or riding the New York Subway or watching tai chi in a park in Shanghai.

Although this video may glorify the morning commute it still might make you feel better that everyone has to deal with it, even though it might be a little nicer if your commute walked through  a beautiful garden with people doing tai chi.
