Delve into Boston’s social media scene and you’ll come across countless photos and posts of Boston’s skyline. The cityscape is beautiful here in The Hub, nestled comfortably on the banks of Boston Harbor. Sometimes, though, the best views of the city come in the form of web design.

Fast Co.Design spoke with designer Yoni Alter of London about a project he’s undertaking of 35 cities and their iconic landmarks, Boston included. Each monument is rendered to scale with popping bright colors and all together comprise a skyline view of the city.

“I noticed the circular London Eye (the ferris wheel) intersecting with the triangular point of a skyscraper,” he told Fast Co.Design of the project’s conception. “They were two perfect geometrical shapes, and it inspired me to look at what other shapes London had.”

For Boston, he’s chosen nine distinct milestones known to plenty: Zakim Bridge, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Hatch Memorial Shell, Berkeley Building, Hood Milk Bottle, Massachusetts State House, 100 Federal Street (First National Bank Building), 111 Huntington Avenue, John Hancock Tower.
