The beloved Roxy’s Grilled Cheese food truck plans to open their much-anticipated brick-and-mortar location on May 19, according to the Boston Globe. Roxy’s owner, James DiSabatino, confirmed the date and told the news source that the restaurant will essentially be the “food truck on overdrive.”

According to the article, we can expect “burgers, poutine, beer and wine, and of course, grilled cheese (in both gluten-free and vegan permutations).” If that’s a food truck in overdrive, we’ll take it!

The Roxy’s Grilled Cheese restaurant will be located at 486 Cambridge St. at Brighton Ave. in Allston. And will conveniently be situated near Deep Ellum, Lone Star and FoMu – just one incentive to make that oh-so-slow green line trek to Allston in the future.

As noted by Eater Boston last month, the truck got its start by in 2011 and also “appeared on season two of The Great Food Truck Race on the Food Network.”

The Globe reports that the restaurant will be open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. We’ll be sure to update the post with more information as we learn more details about the upcoming brick-and-mortar restaurant.
