This week, Boston restaurants will come together to support the city of Boston and honor the lives of Lt. Edward Walsh, Jr. and Firefighter Michael R. Kennedy. The fallen firefighters lost their lives during the devastating Back Bay blaze this past March. And this Wednesday, May 7, they will be remembered by those in the restaurant community.

Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse will host a tasting event to benefit the fallen firefighters’ families. Over 25 different Boston restaurants plan to participate.

These restaurants include: Artisan Bistro, Atlantic Fish Company, Basho, Brasserie Jo, Capital Grille, Central Wharf Company, Cinquecentro Trattoria, Cold Fusion Gelato, Davio’s, Douzo, Fazenda Coffee Company, Fixx Chocolates, Grill 23, Il Casale, La Morra, Legal Sea Foods, Mistral Group, Post 390, Row 34, Stella, Stephanie’s, Sweet Cheeks, Taranta, The Beehive, The Bristol Lounge, Tip Tap Room, Top of the Hub and Trade.

The event will also feature an open bar (always helps) and a live auction hosted by Billy Costa, co-host of Dining Playbook. Tickets costs $200 but you should know that 100 percent of the money raised will be donated to the families of the fallen heroes, as noted by an official source.

You can buy your ticket on the event’s Eventbrite page, here. The tasting event starts at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m.
