It’s no surprise that some first names tend to disappear over time. For example, you hardly hear of anyone named Mabel or Bertha anymore – but at some point those names were actually quite popular. Some first names are trendy and some (like mine) are passed down from generation to generation.

But how do you really know whether your name will still be kickin’ it in 25+ years? By checking this Baby Name Predictor published on Time.com.

According to the article, the predictor shows how every name “will rise and fall in popularity over the next 25 years.” Some follow the familiar cycle of becoming popular, peaking and then declining.
